SEO/SEM

search enging optimization, search engine marketing

Get it done right the first time.

If you have been waiting longer than 30-60 days to see ANY results- if your website isn't being found within the first three pages of major search engines, you need to start asking questions. You need to challenge your SEO professional. There are many that will claim to get you top positions in Google and Yahoo! but read carefully as they will prey on your inexperience and confusion. The only way to gauge results is to actually conduct your own searches, using keywords, not your company name, and see if there are any references to your website. That's it. That is the one and only yardstick. It's common sense. SEO will cost you money, but if done correctly and effectively, that cost becomes an investment in marketing, creating a return on your investment.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Search Engine Optimization is different than SEM since it is done mainly on the "inside" of your website. Keywords and phrases are placed throughout your website in a way that the search engine "robots" will easily find and track them. There are many elements involved for this to be effective. We recommend specialists such as ourselves that have a proven track record and references.

Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
Also known as "Pay-Per-Click", Search Engine Marketing is the practice of researching and producing text-based and graphic ads in the popular search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, and MSN(Bing!). This is also known as pay-per-click (PPC) as it is commonly done by paying a small cost every time an ad is clicked. Most of these fall under "sponsored" ads as text and the cost is bid upon, based on popularity and competition in your specific area.

Social Media Optimization (SMO)
Social Media Optimization is currently popular with many Internet users as we hear about Twitter and Facebook in the news. There are others, some of which are even better for business. We research and test which of these sites and applications are most effective. We find some of these very powerful when it comes to leading traffic back to our sites, which are all worthwhile, quality destinations. Not everything that comes along may be right for you. We can help you decide.

Our clients say...

"I have known Tim for many years, first as a colleague and then as a vendor. I have used Tim's Web design services to support projects I run for the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, and I frequently recommend GO2 Media to colleagues and friends. His work never disappoints. Tim combines out of the box thinking with a deep knowledge of the mechanics of Web design and production, which results in fresh and productive Web sites. He is easy to work with, flexible and fair--qualities you can't buy."
