more...I recently read on several SEO "Experts" websites that they intend to submit their client’s websites to "hundreds" of search engines. Some say 200, some say 400. So I ask the question, does anyone know more than three or four search engines? Probably not, so what is the sense of continuing the practice of submitting to hundreds of search engines? Please let me know, I don't have an answer.

more...When I started my design company in 2001, being virtually unknown, I wondered about where I would find clients. Being in Weschester county, New York, I was close to Manhattan and obviously hundreds of thousands of businesses that could probably use my services. But Westchester was populated by almost one million people, many thousand businesses, and a fairly wealthy place in general. It seemed to me that Westchester would probably offer plenty of business without venturing into "the city". I decided that Westchester would be my target and then began to look at the competition.
more...Is it fear of the unknown? Motion sickness? Stubborness? Why are some people so opposed to scrolling web pages? I think I can help some of you to convert.
I'm not talking about extremes, I'm talking about reasonable scrolling, no more than three pages down. I actually think there are cases where "paging" (those little link menus that allow you to see first, last, and pages in between, usually represented ten at a time) is more distracting than simply scrolling down a page.
